Suzuki Launches Striking GSX-8R Kiiro Limited Edition: Only 60 Bikes for the UK

Suzuki has just unveiled a bold new twist on their popular GSX-8R with the launch of the Kiiro Limited Edition, aimed specifically at UK riders. "Kiiro," the Japanese word for "yellow," hints at the bike’s eye-catching design — a vivid yellow and black paint scheme that sets it apart from the standard model. With only 60 units available, this is a rare opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts to own a truly distinctive machine.

Priced at £9599, the GSX-8R Kiiro blends the proven performance of the standard GSX-8R with a range of special cosmetic upgrades. The bike features blacked-out 8R logos and stylish grey wheels to complement the bright bodywork. It also includes a colour-matched single seat cowl, offering a more aggressive, race-inspired look compared to the regular model’s pillion seat. Riders will also appreciate the addition of high-quality Gilles billet aluminium levers, adding both function and a premium feel to the controls.

Comfort hasn’t been overlooked either. The Kiiro gets a two-tone seat embroidered with the GSX logo, as well as a smoked windscreen for added style and a little extra wind protection. These thoughtful additions bring an extra layer of exclusivity to a bike that was already turning heads for its performance.

Underneath the fresh styling, the Kiiro remains mechanically identical to the standard GSX-8R — and that’s a good thing. It’s powered by Suzuki’s smooth and lively 776cc parallel twin engine, producing 82bhp. The engine is praised for its broad spread of torque, making the GSX-8R both quick and easy to ride across a variety of conditions.

Handling is just as impressive, thanks to a well-balanced chassis, KYB suspension, and an upright riding position that blends sporty intent with real-world comfort. Riders benefit from a modern electronics package too, including a full-colour TFT display, multiple rider modes, and traction control.

Since its launch, the GSX-8R has earned a strong reputation, even winning Motorcycle News’ Sportsbike of the Year title in a competitive group test in 2024. The Kiiro edition builds on that success by offering the same winning formula, but with a sharper, more individual look that’s bound to appeal to riders who want something a little different.

Given the ultra-limited numbers — and the GSX-8R’s existing popularity — anyone interested in owning the Kiiro edition will need to act quickly before all 60 bikes are snapped up.
